I have had his sheath lying around my room for over 8 months now. Untill last weekend it was just a wrapped piece of leather with a small strap to the back that kinda got neglected until it almost fell apart.

Then last weekend I dug it up from the big box I keep all my leatherwork in and decided: "hmm, I'm bored, let's repair this thing."

In the end it was more then just a little repair; I redid the belt-loop, I added a small belt for pouches and my throwing knive, I decorated it a bit and now the whole side is sewn shut. I like how it came out and how I could turn a nearly broken down quick-job into something I'm quite proud of.

I've never seen a sword sheath that excited me before, but that little pouch and the extra dagger is awesome! Do you have more pics? I'd love to feature it on my rpg blog.

Very nice. I may have to embark on a project similar to this. My favorite part is the pouch, it is very difficult to find a pouch that works out well for a LARP for a decent cost, you seem to have captured what is needed in a game.

Usually at a normal larp, I wear around 4 of these pouches, alongside 4 or 5 bigger ones to keep me self-sufficient throughout a day. If you have a pattern that works, stick to it. A man can never have too many pouches

I never came to terms with these swords, myself. They look more like clubs than anything with an edge... safety and all, but I prefer steel.

The sheath is wonderful, by the way. Especially the pouch. :)
